Check out this video by Naomi Olson about the portraits she has been taking since May 2010.  The project exhibits her portraits of the blind in Hawaii.  Each subject was asked if they had a special connection or favorite place in Hawaii, this would become the location for the photo, and once it was produced she added text and Braille to everything; and for half of the images, a tactile version as well as an audio description. This allowed a few different ways to experience one image.

Naomi’s show is now on exhibit at The ARTS at Marks Garage in Honolulu until July 23rd.
