Walking tour of a part of northern Historic Germantown.  This neighborhood is rich in historic sites and buildings from the colonial era, some of which are open to the public.
The first stop will be at the Oaks Cloister.  The hidden gem is one of the most magnificent private homes in Philadelphia.  It was designed by Joseph Miller Huston in 1900, who also designed the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg.  The building features a variety of architectural delights and is located in an interesting reesidentiall area.
After that, the tour will proceed to the Tulpehocken Station Historic District, which includes The Ebenezer Maxwell House and The Wyck House along with many other unique buildings.
The walk will end where it began, at The Wired Bean Cafe for lunch, and an opportunity to show your images and make new friends.
