We just launched our Kickstarter campaign for Philly Photo Day!
On Philly Photo Day, PPAC invites everyone in Philadelphia to take a photograph on the same day. We then print and exhibit every picture – thousands – for a vast, uncensored reflection of life in our city. Last year we exhibited 1,800 submissions. This year our goal is 2,500!
Philly Photo Day is free for everyone. PPAC provides the ink and paper to print the exhibition, cameras for free workshops, event catering, invitations, billboards, advertising, exhibition space, and more.
So far, there has been an outpouring of support from PNC Arts Alive and many generous donors to help us meet our goal for Philly Photo Day as a part of the Knight Arts Challenge. This year’s project is double the size of last year’s Philly Photo Day but we can do it again with your help!
We still need to raise $5,000 through our Kickstarter campaign. If we don’t reach our goal, we get $0! Please help us with a gift of $10, $50, $100 or more. Backers receive cool prizes like PPAC pens and totebags!
Please help make Philly Photo Day a fun art-making experience for the entire city, and don’t forget to take a photograph on October 18th!
Philly Photo Day 2013 is made possible with generous support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and PNC Arts Alive.
